I am getting a new iPhone or iPad. How do I transfer my data from my old device to my new one?

It is your responsibility to be sure that your data is properly backed up. Backup your data often.

If you are getting a new device and want to transfer data from your old device to your new one, the best way to do this is to make a backup using iTunes or iCloud, and then to restore that backup onto the new device.  If you do this, it will transfer all the data from your old device to your new device, not just PotteryNotes data, and is the way that Apple recommends you do this.

The following links will provide you with more information about how to backup and restore your data:

Important! If you choose to backup your device to iCloud be sure to verify that PotteryNotes is flagged to be backed up as part of the iCloud backup. There are occasional reports from users that PotteryNotes is not part of their backup on iCloud. Click here to see a page that explains how to see and edit which apps are being backed up by your iCloud backup.

Note: For more confident computer users there is also the option of using iTunes file sharing for backing and and restoring PotteryNotes installations. Learn more about that option here.
